Do You Eat Leftovers?

3239097_b317eea251

I am not saying that one should simply dispose of the leftovers and waste food. Do not eat food that is more than a day old as it is difficult to digest and has lost most of its nutritional value.

Though it seems convenient to do the cooking on weekends, it is not good for health. You can save time for cooking on weekdays by doing the chopping and cutting on the weekend. It is always better to spend some time cooking fresh food without being lazy than consuming medicines later for indigestion!

Tell me what you think about it!

Healthy Eating Habits

food_group_image

Did you know that simply eating healthy food and consuming power drinks etc cannot build the body tissue? There are some other things that have to be kept in mind along with this.

You should eat 4-5 times a day at mostly fixed timings. Don’t skip lunch or dinner if you have to reduce weight. Remember not to snack on food in between meals. Drinking lot of water throughout the day is advisable, but never immediately before a meal or while having it. The digestive juices get diluted and slow down digestion if you do this.

Eat healthy, think better!

Proper eating habits too do help one to maintain good health. Proper eating habits are very many and they include;

Eating at regular intervals- one should avoid eating many times a day as this does not help the body at all. As all these will go to waste because the body cannot digest all the time. One should also eat food that has roughages which help in digest. Eating of food that contains all of fats should be avoided. This is because fats cause obesity and can bring heart diseases. One should also avoid staying for long times without eating as this is starvation which is not good for the body.

Many people usually take coffee to help them stay awake if they doing some work or something. Well, it is good but too much coffee is not healthy to one’s body. Coffee makes one’s mind to feel twitchy. The remedy for this is for one to take some amount of water and also ensure that he gets enough fresh air.

Some beverages also like tea and cocoa when taken in large amounts are not very good for one’s health. Cocoa especially makes the body to feel a lot of heat. This heat is not good for the body hence the need for fresh air to counter this.

Supplement the body with energy regularly

fruit-smoothie
I do believe that the body is the only machine that never stops working. Even when one is asleep, the body is working so that at least it can maintain an individual alive. Therefore, it is always advisable that one eats a small meal in between main meals every two to three hours just to keep the body supplied with energy. When an individual is working, the body cells are always looking for ways of providing energy in the body, and if they do not find food to digest, they start digesting the reserve which causes the body to be weak. Also the acid produced in the stomach for digestion should find food there otherwise may digest intestine walls. This may just cause stomach ulcers which are not good.

Regulate alcohol intake

alcohol
It is very advisable that one does not drink alcohol after seven pm. Taking alcohol after this time can not only prevent one from sleeping very well, but it can give birth to more carb-based weight gain. Or worse still one might wake up the next day having a very bad headache.
In fact one should challenge himself to save alcohol as well as desserts only on the weekends. This will give one’s body enough space so that he can concentrate on more important issues of life. Also, one’s body will feel much more stable in mid week if he keeps it toxic free.

Minimizing junk food

food
One should endeavor to minimize the intake of processed breads as well as carbs. Junk food does help in anybody’s health instead it increases a lot waste in the body. Instead one should Keep a healthy stash of nuts as well as fruits (grapes and walnuts do form a great snack) for him to satisfy his snack cravings. Also, during relaxing hours it is advisable that one takes fruit salads and juices. They increase the amount of water in the body apart from making sure blood flow in the body is smooth. One should just minimize junk food if he can not do away with it completely.

vit-e-400jpg
One should always take the Vitamin E Supplement even if he thinks he does not need it. According to some research that was done recently, there is a conclusion that antioxidants such as vitamin E may indeed provide some protection against free radicals which do contribute to diseases for example, cancer and even arthritis. The exact RDA’s are still in contention but it is very advisable for one to take 400 International Units on a daily basis. Vitamin E itself is also quite good as it prevents an individual from scurvy which is quite a menace. Heed the experts’ advice and live.

Recent research has shown that eating the products of soy has helped protect Asian women against some cancer types. Scientists at the Vanderbilt University and the Cancer Research Center of Hawaii did conduct a study of 120 Asian women. Results produced some tangible evidence that a long-term diet which is rich in soy can be linked successfully to a reduced risk of breast cancer – the risk reduces to as much as a 50 percent in some particular cases – according to the research which was presented in Honolulu.
The soybean is used in foods as well as beverages. It is low in cholesterol and high in isoflavones, its benefits are quite handsome.

For one to have good health it is very imperative that he eats the right food ingredients. This does involve the following:
One should ensure that he takes food that is of a balanced diet. A meal that is a balanced diet consists of carbohydrates, proteins and vitamins. Because all these each have a role that they play in the proper health of an individual. Carbohydrates provide energy, proteins provide ingredients that help the body to manufacture new cells hence growth while vitamins help the body to fight against diseases, take an example of vitamin C which helps the body to fight rickets.
